Secondhand Smoke

Secondhand smoke contains at least 250 chemicals known to be toxic, including more than 50 that can cause cancer.  Secondhand smoke is not a mere annoyance; it is a serious health hazard.  Hundreds of studies over the last 20 years have concluded that secondhand smoke doesn't just cause disease in nonsmokers, it can also cause death.  The evidence is in, the science is clear, there is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke.

Secondhand smoke levels in bars and casinos are 300-600% higher than in other smoke-filled offices.  Secondhand smoke levels in restaurants that allow smoking are roughly 160-200% higher than in smoke-filled offices.
